Raised in Wichita, KS in the back room of his family’s fitness store, Jared was aware of weights as well as nutrition at a young age. He began his own training with weights at around the age of 14. Focusing on his diet through high school, of course with ‘ups’ and ‘downs’ like most people.
At age 18 he decided he didn’t know enough and was spinning his wheels on his nutrition. He hired Ken ‘Skip’ Hill from TeamSkip.net to handle his nutrition and teach him how to manage his own diet and change his physique. Over the years of working together, Skip became like a mentor to Jared – helping him with his own dieting process even after working with him for such a long time. Skip is one of the top bodybuilding nutritionists in the world, and Jared recommends him to anyone who is wanting to take their knowledge and training to an elite level.
This is where 316Fit was born. Jared started handling diets and workouts for friends and co-workers, and eventually created 316Fit back in 2011. It turns out, he was pretty good at it. Good enough that people were seeing the success of others and approaching him for his help.
